Hillside International Modern

This hillside residence is to be built on a long and narrow ocean view property of 4400 sf. The 3-story structure of approximately 3000 sf of livable space includes 4 bedrooms with individual bathrooms. It also has elevated decks off of Master Bedroom and Living Areas. Vertical interior access starts at the lowest level 2 car garage and shop via an elevator. Additional parking is at the driveway. The architectural style is International Modern with its stepped block forms, horizontal bands of glass, sun-shading overhangs, and smooth clean white surface.

Suburban Prairie

This family compound is to be built on a large, almost square, property of approximately 14,000 sf. The two-story structure of approximately 4200 sf of livable space includes 3 bedrooms with individual bathrooms, a great room, exercise room, guest room with bathroom and an elevated deck. This design features a 1200 sf Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU). The architectural style is Suburban Prarie with its floating horizontal flat roof planes, wood trellising for additional sun shading and orientation to an interior courtyard.

Rural Modern

This 2-story residence is to be built on a long narrow property of 8,000 sf. The house of approximately 2700 sf of livable space includes 4 bedrooms and also has elevated decks on the second floor. A detached 2-car garage is accessed from a long driveway and carport. The architectural style is Rural Modern with exposed beams and columns with horizontal bands of glass and sun shading overhangs.

Mid Century Modern

This single story residence is to be built on a long rectangular property of approximately 13,500 sf. The main house of approximately 3200 sf is built with an atrium, great room and office and includes 3 bedrooms with individual bathrooms. An Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) with 510 sf is attached to the terrace and pool. A 2-car garage and carport complete the concept. The architectural style is Mid-Century Modern with an updated floor plan to meet today’s standards.

Hillside Contemporary

This hillside residence is to be built on a wide, deep property of 11,000 sf. This three-story structure of approximately 3600 sf of livable space includes 3 bedrooms, an office, family room and a great room with adjacent decks and terraces. Vertical interior access starts at the lowest level 2-car garage via an elevator. Additional parking is at the driveway and motor court level. The architectural style is Contemporary with sloping metal roofs, stepped back design and clerestory glazing along with sun shading.

Desert Family Compound

This is a one and two story residence built around a large courtyard with a pool. It has a motor court and 3-car garage/shop on a property of 18,000 sf. The main house with approximately 4700 sf of living space includes 4 bedrooms with individual bathrooms, a great room with adjacent office, family room and exercise room. Covered verandas provide circulation for the courtyard. Attached to the home is a two story Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) of 1200 sf. The architectural style is Soft Contemporary with one and two story horizontal rectangular building massing.

This collection of one-story structures is to e built on a property of 3,000 sf. The main house of approximately 4200 sf of livable space includes 4 bedrooms with individual bath rooms, a great room, office, exercise room and a separate living room. The second building has a garage for 6 cars as well as storage. A carport and a 1200 sf Accessary Dwelling Unit (ADU) are attached. The architectural style is Contemporary Ranch with sloping metal roofs, stone garden walls and a circular drive. A large rear yard completes the concept with a covered terrace.

This mostly one-story residence has an owner’s bedroom suite and office on the second floor is to be built on a property of 15,600 sf. The main house of approximately 4200 sf of livable space includes 4 bedrooms with adjacent bathrooms, a great room, a sitting room oriented to the pool courtyard. There is a front porch and motor court with 4 parking spaces. An attached, one story, 1200 sf Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) is also part of the plan. The architectural style is contemporary ranch with metal sloping roofs and wood siding in a more traditional mode.

Palo Alto Modern

A pine saturated forest envelopes this residence in the rolling hills of Palo Alto, California. This contemporary style is a surprising and successful contrast to its rugged environment. Prominent open canopies highlight the project’s design by framng sy and alpne bacgrounds. Hardwood covered perimeter walls, decomposed granite driveway and earthy colored planter walls create a solid connection to the site. The ADU, pool, and main living spaces are nestled nicely into a stand of trees offering seclusion and sporadic views of the mountans beyond. Although the project is small in scale the front facade has an impressive appearance for one approaching the entry way.

Suburban Prairie II

A longish curved driveway through a buffer zone of shrubs from the rural road and leads you to a 3-vehicle carport serving both the main residence and additional dwelling unit. An almost complete exposure to rear yard activties other livable areas and the natural back drop by floor to ceiling glazing creates a sense of voluminous spaces belying the its limited square footage. inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright's architectural style, characterized by a T-shaped floor plan and an open layout that connects seamlessly with the outdoor environment. In a foothill setting, such a home would likely take advantage of the landscape, possibly incorporating natural materials like stone and wood to blend with its surroundings. The open rear yard setting would enhance the connection to nature, allowing for outdoor living spaces that complement the overall design.

Desert Contemporary

An impressve natural decomposed stone driveway approach to a motor court and a large front yard terrace that fronts a Wrightian vernacular residence. Wth distinctly thin cantlevered overhang leading guests to the front entry and jutting canopies sheltering all the southwest facing windows, the overall building facade emphasises the horizontal line giving homage to one of the world’s best. The upper level is dedicated to an ample master suite with an adjoining sleeping and deck area. A detached 1-story ADU borders the backyard pool and has views from the living areas to a desert mountain landscape.


Island ranch retreat

Island Ranch Retreat

A formal straght line procession from a private cobbled street travels past water features wrapping around a 3-car garage with banted stone walls. Darkened green standing seam low slope roofs and extended eaves add to the polynesian feel of the project. Close attention to indigenous material choices, a free flowing yet functional plan, and a relatable landscaping design lead to a strong reference to and an interaction with the island environ. The matching style detached ADU serves comfortably any invited friends and relatives seeking an island resort getaway.


Waterfront Modern

Waterfront Modern

This custom waterfront residence displays a quiet and comfortable choice of exterior materials combined with simple lines promoting a modern aesthetic. The addition of mahogany trim and trellises give a visual warmth to the project.Upon entry to the residence an unobstructed view through the gallery and great room to the water way beyond immediately set the lifestyle tone. A covered outdoor deck is the transitional space between major interior spaces and the private boat dock. A small upper level courtyard that includes a spa allows a private outdoor space protected from elements and adjacent residences. An additional upper deck area faces the harbor water way and adds to the nautical experience.


Northern CA Retreat

Northern CA Retreat

Set in the rolling hills of Northern California wine country, this contemporary structure with little adornment, singular in color and material choices quitely sits amongst a secluded wooded site. A wrap around glass enclosure with a sheltering covered patio of the main living areas is the stand out feature of the project, exposing the inhabitants to the vistas beyond through openings in a stand of trees. The entry through the carport to the attached ADU along wth the plaster covered columns fronting the garage and walled terraces add articulation to the front facade.

Rustic Modern Compound

A classic attempt at creating a strong horizontal impression of the building’s presentation. The street view presents a gentle terracing of both site and varying low roof lines mimmicing the hillside topography in the distance only briefly interupted vertically. Its low profile entry to an extended gallery immedately exposes one to the scenic landscape beyond.The U-Shaped floor plan surrounds a trellissed covered courtyard with a pool at its center. An attached ADU with an accompanying carport are a portion of the main residence‘s left wing. Earthtone colors and a materials’ palette of mahogany venetian plaster and a complimentary landscaping fits nto the fabric of the local environment.

A city’s need for higher density developments has resulted in a contemporary solution to combining office, retail and residential living spaces. Satisfying numerous requirements for a successful city center project simply by its location adjacencies for public transportation, restaurants and a wide variety of businesses that satisfy daily needs within a quarter of a mile. The building’s concept design with its central courtyard and ample perimeter decks space enables tenants a chance to stay in touch with each other and their immediate environment leading to a more vibrant community.
