Suburban Prairie

This family compound is to be built on a large, almost square, property of approximately 14,000 sf. The two-story structure of approximately 4200 sf of livable space includes 3 bedrooms with individual bathrooms, a great room, exercise room, guest room with bathroom and an elevated deck. This design features a 1200 sf Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU). The architectural style is Suburban Prarie with its floating horizontal flat roof planes, wood trellising for additional sun shading and orientation to an interior courtyard.

Desert Contemporary

An impressve natural decomposed stone driveway approach to a motor court and a large front yard terrace that fronts a Wrightian vernacular residence. Wth distinctly thin cantlevered overhang leading guests to the front entry and jutting canopies sheltering all the southwest facing windows, the overall building facade emphasises the horizontal line giving homage to one of the world’s best. The upper level is dedicated to an ample master suite with an adjoining sleeping and deck area. A detached 1-story ADU borders the backyard pool and has views from the living areas to a desert mountain landscape.

Rural Modern

This 2-story residence is to be built on a long narrow property of 8,000 sf. The house of approximately 2700 sf of livable space includes 4 bedrooms and also has elevated decks on the second floor. A detached 2-car garage is accessed from a long driveway and carport. The architectural style is Rural Modern with exposed beams and columns with horizontal bands of glass and sun shading overhangs.

Suburban Prairie II

A longish curved driveway through a buffer zone of shrubs from the rural road and leads you to a 3-vehicle carport serving both the main residence and additional dwelling unit. An almost complete exposure to rear yard activties other livable areas and the natural back drop by floor to ceiling glazing creates a sense of voluminous spaces belying the its limited square footage. inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright's architectural style, characterized by a T-shaped floor plan and an open layout that connects seamlessly with the outdoor environment. In a foothill setting, such a home would likely take advantage of the landscape, possibly incorporating natural materials like stone and wood to blend with its surroundings. The open rear yard setting would enhance the connection to nature, allowing for outdoor living spaces that complement the overall design.


Waterfront Modern

Waterfront Modern

This custom waterfront residence displays a quiet and comfortable choice of exterior materials combined with simple lines promoting a modern aesthetic. The addition of mahogany trim and trellises give a visual warmth to the project.Upon entry to the residence an unobstructed view through the gallery and great room to the water way beyond immediately set the lifestyle tone. A covered outdoor deck is the transitional space between major interior spaces and the private boat dock. A small upper level courtyard that includes a spa allows a private outdoor space protected from elements and adjacent residences. An additional upper deck area faces the harbor water way and adds to the nautical experience.

Desert Family Compound

This is a one and two story residence built around a large courtyard with a pool. It has a motor court and 3-car garage/shop on a property of 18,000 sf. The main house with approximately 4700 sf of living space includes 4 bedrooms with individual bathrooms, a great room with adjacent office, family room and exercise room. Covered verandas provide circulation for the courtyard. Attached to the home is a two story Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) of 1200 sf. The architectural style is Soft Contemporary with one and two story horizontal rectangular building massing.

Palo Alto Modern

A pine saturated forest envelopes this residence in the rolling hills of Palo Alto, California. This contemporary style is a surprising and successful contrast to its rugged environment. Prominent open canopies highlight the project’s design by framng sy and alpne bacgrounds. Hardwood covered perimeter walls, decomposed granite driveway and earthy colored planter walls create a solid connection to the site. The ADU, pool, and main living spaces are nestled nicely into a stand of trees offering seclusion and sporadic views of the mountans beyond. Although the project is small in scale the front facade has an impressive appearance for one approaching the entry way.

Ranch Family Compound

This mostly one-story residence has an owner’s bedroom suite and office on the second floor is to be built on a property of 15,600 sf. The main house of approximately 4200 sf of livable space includes 4 bedrooms with adjacent bathrooms, a great room, a sitting room oriented to the pool courtyard. There is a front porch and motor court with 4 parking spaces. An attached, one story, 1200 sf Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) is also part of the plan. The architectural style is contemporary ranch with metal sloping roofs and wood siding in a more traditional mode.
